Mine Discharge Permit, Confidential Client

Conducted Waste Load Allocation Modeling and permit application preparation for a large silver/zinc mine discharging 10 million gallons per day into a river/reservoir system. Modeling efforts included determining chronic and acute concentrations of metals, as well as studying mixing characteristics of the discharge in a newly formed reservoir.

Storm Water Runoff Program, MDT/EB

Prepared a Standard Erosion Control Work Plan containing BMPs for temporary erosion control on highway construction projects for the Montana Department of Transportation/Environmental Bureau (MDT/EB). Developed a computer program for selecting BMPs that interfaced with the MDT's road design system and provided training to MDT designers in the selection of BMPs. Prepared Temporary Erosion Control Standard Drawings and provided training to MDT contractors in the installation and maintenance of BMPs. Currently preparing erosion control plans for numerous highway construction projects in support of storm water runoff permits.
