Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. is located at three different locations in Montana.
Butte
Our headquarters are located at 63 – 65 West Broadway in the historic four-story Kenwood building that contributes significantly to Butte’s National Historic Landmark District. This building was restored by several of our key employees in order to provide a functional base of operations while keeping overhead costs low.
Also housed in our Uptown Butte offices is Pioneer Blueprint & Supply, an engineering/surveying equipment sales and rental store. Pioneer Blueprint & Supply has commercial printing capabilities, and this in-house resource makes for responsive and high quality document reproduction.
Helena
Several of our employees are in the process of restoring the Herrmann Building located on East Broadway Street in Helena, Montana, to house our Helena Branch operations. We currently anticipate a grand opening celebration of this facility early in 2004. The building will provide 2,100 square feet of office, design, and meeting space and 900 square feet for our geotechnical laboratory.
Our geotechnical laboratory in Helena has been accredited by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO). The laboratory is capable of routinely performing soil classifications; specific gravity determination and moisture-density relationships; corrosion analysis; and unconfined compression, California Bearing Ratio, consolidation/swell, and permeability tests. We are also capable of conducting wear tests via our Los Angeles abrasion machine. We have initiated start up of a second laboratory facility in Butte. We will be renovating the recently acquired Parrot buildings located in Uptown Butte to house this new operation.
Anaconda
Our third office location is at 307 East Park Avenue in Anaconda, Montana. This fully-staffed office allows several of our project engineers and construction management personnel easy access to many projects in the Butte/Anaconda areas.
